Our Founder

Dan VeitkusSince 1976, Dan Veitkus, whose modest start with four janitorial accounts, has built a respected contract cleaning service in the Chicago Southland.  Lymander Building Services, Inc. boasts a history of accounts which include professional offices, educational facilities, medical facilities, government offices, state and local police facilities, local libraries, retail spaces and the banking industry.

His employees have been the recipients of letters of commendation and awards due to their excellent work ethics and the supervising that accompanies them on the job. Dan is particularly proud to claim four long time employees who have been with the company for over 20 years; two of whom have been employed since Lymander began.

Dan attended high school at St. Rita on the city of Chicago’s South side.  He furthered his education at Daley College in Chicago and Northern Illinois University.  Along with being a businessman and sitting on various commissions in the Village of Tinley Park, Dan has the distinction of being the Founder and Charter President of the Tinley Park Kiwanis Club, President of the Tinley Park Oktoberfest for two years, Recipient of the Jaycees Man of the Year Award and Special honoree of the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce. He was an active supporter for years of the Oak Park Avenue Main Street Commission.

His dedication to hard work and his practiced principles of excellence are reflected in the success of his business; attested to by the fact that Lymander Building Services, Inc. holds its place as the country struggles to make its way through the third economic recession to occur since Dan got started in 1976.
